Dopo aver collaborato per quasi un anno con una testata online, bresciadomani.net, ho deciso di aprire questo blog per condividere ciò che mi sta a cuore: la bellezza e il bene che si nascondono nelle pieghe della quotidianità. La summer school Online Newsmaking che ho frequentato nel settembre 2011 mi ha insegnato tutto ciò che un blogger deve sapere. Frequento lettere moderne con un sogno: diventare giornalista. Per ora racconto storie di giovani che vogliono fare della loro vita un capolavoro, suggerisco libri&scrittori, parlo di etimologie e di giornalismo, raccolgo meravigliose fotografie dai miei lettori e consiglio conferenze, incontri e mostre da non perdere. Amo le Dolomiti, il pianoforte e i viaggi.
I wrote for an online newspaper, bresciadomani.it, for about a year. After this, I created this blog for sharing the beauty and the good hidden in our life. I attended the summer school Online Newsmaking in September 2011 that taught me what every blogger should know. I study Italian Literature at university with a dream: be a journalist. Now I tell stories of our youth generation, I share pictures about Italy and I suggest book&writers. I love Dolomiti, the piano and travels.

Ciao! I’m Jake Hiserman, an 18 year old who lives in Muncy, Pennsylvania, USA. The reason you will find my writing on this blog under the section “USA News Express” is simple: I went on a foreign exchange (Rotary Youth Exchange Program) to Italy for a month this past summer (2011)! Since returning to America, I am in the midst of completing my final year of high school and will go to a university in Fall 2012 to study history. I have a great passion for history, specifically American history and the American Civil War. In my spare time I enjoy acting, singing, fencing, playing the piano, and serving the community. I am a devout Catholic and I owe all that I am and everything I have done to God! Thanks to Nicola and his family hosting me (and his friends making me their friend) I am now Italian by adoption! I am proud to be both American and Italian! Last but not least, I want to express deep gratitude for letting me share my experiences in Italy on Ilblogletterario! Happy reading!
Sono Jake Hiserman, ho 18 anni e vivo a Muncy, Pennsylvania, USA. La ragione per cui scrivo in questo blog nella sezione USA News Express è molto semplice: l’estate scorsa (2011) sono stato in Italia per un mese grazie al Rotary Youth Exchange Program! Sto finendo il liceo e l’anno prossimo andrò all’università per studiare storia. Ho una grande passione per la storia, specialmente la storia americana e la guerra civile americana. Nel mio tempo libero mi piace recitare, cantare, tirare di scherma, suonare il piano e fare volontariato. Sono cattolico e devo tutto quello che sono e quello che ho fatto a Dio! Grazie alla mia famiglia italiana (e ai suoi amici) sono ora italiano per adozione. Sono orgoglioso di essere sia Americano che italiano!
